🟡 Swahilies offers a powerful, tech-driven financial platform designed to streamline operations for MSMEs in Sub-Saharan Africa. With tools for inventory management, sales tracking, and digital payments, Swahilies empowers businesses to boost efficiency and drive growth.
🟡 NovFeed specializes in sustainable agriculture, developing EcoVita, a bio-fertilizer made from aquaculture byproducts and organic waste. This cost-effective product replaces expensive chemical fertilizers, boosts crop yields by 45%, reduces environmental impact and empowers farmers.ingredients from pastoralist communities and transforming them into organic personal care products.
🟡 Beem Africa supports the digital transformation of SMEs in Africa by leveraging AI-driven communication, marketing, and customer relationship management solutions to accelerate business growth and improve access to services in areas such as finance, agriculture or healthcare for consumers.
🟡 Freshpack offers an innovative, eco-friendly vegetable preservation box that extends shelf life by up to three times, without electricity or ice. Using smart fabric technology, it reduces spoilage, boosts vendor profitability, and enhances food security in Tanzania.

🟢 Laina Finance is an integrated financial service provider offering consumers automated credit approvals for installment payments, with both traditional and Sharia-compliant options. It empowers businesses by providing flexible, risk-free payment solutions to expand customer bases

SUMET: The Startup Revolutionize FMCG Supply Chains

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania — SUMET, an emerging logistics and supply chain technology company based in Tanzania, has successfully raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding. The fresh capital injection will support the company’s ambitious plans to expand into new markets, enhance its proprietary technology platform, strengthen internal operations, and onboard top talent. Additionally, part of the funding will go toward growing its line of Expido-branded products.

The Backstory: Sumet was founded in 2022 by Hazem Afify (CEO), Abdallah Omar (CCO), and Mahmoud Tawfik (CTO). Founded with a mission to streamline distribution and boost operational efficiency in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, SUMET offers a digital platform that empowers manufacturers, brand owners, and distributors to launch and scale their products more effectively across regional markets. By leveraging data-driven tools and end-to-end logistics optimization, the company bridges key gaps in FMCG distribution, helping brands reach underserved retail channels and operate with greater agility.

Funding: $1.5M pre-seed round, backed by angel investors, including ABAN, Catalytic Africa, and an angel syndicate from Egypt.
